Maps are a good way to picture what is discussed in a given history, and to aid in visiting and interpreting historic sites. The TTA owns approximately 200 early topographic, highway, soil, railroad commission, hand-drawn and other maps. We have identified and scanned portions of the maps which we think are significant for showing early layouts of towns, early roads and railroads, vanished communities, mines, quarries, etc., We are currently working to move portions of all our map images online.
