Reproduction Requests

The TTA can provide high-resolution scans on CD or DVD of images from our photo collection. This applies to those images in the photo database only. We may not be able to reproduce images elsewhere on the site, such as in history articles.

Scans are either 300 dots per inch (dpi) or 600 dpi, and bit-depth is standard 48-bit for color and sepia-toned originals, and 16-bit grey scale for black & white originals. Generally speaking, 300 dpi is good for reproducing in print or online publications, and 600 dpi is good for making hardcopy prints.

  Prices

$15.00 flat rate for the first image, which includes one CD or DVD and case, and all packaging and shipping.
$5.00 each additional image.

Proceeds from photo sales are used to offset the cost of server storage, scanning equipment and software, and printing equipment and supplies. The TTA is not a commercial photograph reproduction business per se, rather, we feel it is an important function of a special collections archive to have the ability to provide prints where a need exists. The TTA remains non-profit and volunteer in nature.

TTA grants free use of these images for educational and non-profit purposes. We appreciate a photo credit where appropriate.
