Description:   Historian Robert K. Mason notes that heavy rain on April 22, 1915 washed out a culvert on the line that went to the newly-built Austin Dam on the Colorado river. A streetcar was crossing about that time, causing the car to drop through the trestle.

Notes:   Historian Robert K. Mason adds to this account that a second wave of flooding the following day pushed the car further downstream and crushed the roof, causing the car to be a total loss.
